I think Viney had no choice to do what he did. Fyfe had a choice and chose to bump. Still don't agree with the rule and at the time I was rope ble about it. But I reckon the fyfe decision and penalty would have stood. Good to see Viney get off. Hopefully the rule will change and fyfe can play his natural game without fear of getting rubbed out again.
And for all those out there saying fyfe was a dirty player but now applauding the appeal decis ion, I give you two fingers!

Also thought Viney had the opportunity to not bump but don't think a player should be rubbed out for what is accidental contact. I'm a crows supporter and sad to see lynch out with a broken jaw but the fact he had another player behind him contributed and I thought it was accidental contact and should be no penalty as such.
Also don't see why you should get hung (or not) on the whether (the same action) the player is injured or not. Ping the players for doing something dangerous to another player injury or otherwise.
i.e. Fyfe or Douglas bumps and no injury and no action. same bump causes injury and you get rubbed.
Also understand protecting the head but hell Douglas bumps causing accidental head clash and gets two weeks. Giants player then comes in and punches him in the back of the head twice (obviously a punch is deliberate) and gets what??

If we can stay in touch (or get on top) with clearances and contested possessions we should do ok but with our 2 big leaders in that department out its time again for our primed young blokes (liked the look of Hurting last week) to step up. I suppose I rate cloke on the fact he gets five shots at goal and kicks four behinds and an out of bounds. Buddy kicked 2.7 tonight and sydney won. Pav was beaten last week but freo won. Then only time I watch cloke play is against freo and time after time after time mcpharlin pantsed him and he is held goaless. That's what I rate him on. But then again mcpharlin pantseds most forwards that he plays on.... and if he played on pav he would probably pantsed pav....

In all honesty, my program for tomorrow is feed the children (missus on a sleep over with girlfriends, two of whom have lost their husbands in the last 18 months), housework, wedding ceremony early afternoon, boys arriving 4.30. Pack the trailer and utes, have a bite to eat, hopefully away by 8 pm, into denham at sunrise, and across to shelter bay by 10 or 11 o'clock sunday. Then we'll go fishing. If I get to watch freo play well against port in amongst all that, I'll be one happy camper!

Not sure if we choked. The experts wet saying before the game how fit port are. Anyway.
