Cape Nat- pretty quiet
Spent the day cruising the briny off Cape Naturaliste. Even though there were turtles, dolphins and flyingfish about everywhere it was still pretty quiet on the fish front. Managed one small legal dhu and another undersize. Both werent looking great when they came up and we brought them up real slow. The undersize was sent back on the release weight and didnt see him float back up so hopefully it came good. Got one nice breaksea as well, an undersize pinky a couple of small swallowtail that went back (not worth keeping at just legal size) and a few sambos around the 70cm mark. Absolute cracker day though stayed offshore for most of the day and even the southerly when it came in was very well behaved. Not often you get a full day out this time of year!
Anyone else have any success?

I went for a troll in geo bay
I went for a troll in geo bay and got 3 bonito for my troubles. Didn't see any Mackies around. I headed back around midday and it was an absolute glass off. You could clearly see the bottom in 20 meters of water.

I had a leave pass for
I had a leave pass for saturday, probably could have just about tried for sunday morning too. We were thinking about trolling down towards canals but I never took anything suitable to troll with. Will have to remember that in a few weeks when I get the chance to go again. Got a couple of weekends in perth- a bream comp and an engagement party so will try to build up the brownie points again for another trip.

Had the same day as you by the sounds Brad!was nice conditions plenty of fish on the sounder but couldn't tempt them with anything, ended up trolling for the arvo between the cape and canals picking up plenty of bonito and a descent sambo that took a lure which had us thinking at first was a mac shame it wasn't but are hearing a few reports of there being a few around .
