Submitted by Mitch88 on Fri, 2018-11-23 14:08
Recently purchased a new coromal coromal 696 caravan.
Wanting to install a camera that feeds through to a monitor in the car.
200 series LC already has a inbuilt reverse camera but wanting a camera on the van for seeing traffic behind me and for reversing.
Has anyone got a set up or can recommened anything?
I see there's a bloke "Safety Dave" that does them, they look the goods but cant find much feedback on them.

Jaycar
I recently replaced our old one with a 7 inch model from Jaycar. Has been very good so far. Only issue at installation, the supplied cable was only 6 meters or there abouts, so had to get cable made up since we are 18 meters long.

Hey mitch
I have a caravan plug for reverse camera on the 100 series Landcruiser I bought. It’s about a 5 pin adapter and you basically just connect it into the video input wire that will already be running from your camera to the rear of the 200 series head unit. Have a switch so you can switch between the 2 different camera feeds car or caravan, and away you go.
Where abouts you located? If you want to have a look at the setup on my car to replicate, you can always take a look. I’m in beechboro, send me a pm if you want to check it out

Safety Dave
I recently bought a new caravan that came with a safety dave camera on the back of the van and a monitor for the car. I bought another camera from safety dave for a reversing camera for the ute. Not a very big screen but does the job well. The website does not show prices but I emailed them and they rang me the next day and two days after I paid them I had the camera.
