I got carbontex upgrade in my Stella 4000PG, as the original drag washers were toasted on a few big sambos.......Carbontex has been a great upgrade on all my reels (I got most of the washers on ebay) except the stella....could not get carbontex on ebay so got a very reputable local shop to do it for me.....it has never been as good as standard, and TimVB has done the same on his 6000PG and agrees, standard Stella drag washers much smoother and still has plenty of grunt, unlike a lot of other standard drags which are as weak as (eh:my Oceajigger carbontex upgrade was great). TimVB has since sourced some original Stella drag washers to replace the carbontex, I will do the same.

I would recommend standard washers for Stella.....if you get some, buy me a set and you can reduce your freight as I will go you halves if you want.
