Carbontex Drag Washers

Anyone use them?
I bought a sheet for my 1000 reels and my 2500 and he suggested I get a 1mm sheet for both. Once I packed the 1000 reel with new washers I had to squash them down to get the pin in resulting in a tight drag. I sanded them back but still not happy that I've sanded off the cross hatching on one side so should I get him to send me a 0.5mm sheet instead?

You ought to have measured
You ought to have measured the original washers first. It's difficult when they're oil filled and you mustn't squash. that way you'll know what ones to get. I had to get 2 different thicknesses and combine them for my reels. Maybe that's what you need to do.

That would be the go, but
That would be the go, but honestly he'd be a bigger man than most if he supplied it following the Paypal dispute and other goings on about it, wouldnt you think?
Assuming "he" is Andrew?
Give a man a mask, and he'll show you his true face...
The older you get the more you realize that no one has a f++king clue what they're doing.
Everyone's just winging it.
