Looking for a cat trap to get a couple of ferals that keep hanging around our place. If anyone's got one they want to sell or don't mind me borrowing for a month or two pls flick me a PM.

We had the cat haven come and and set traps. Got three ferals in a week, nasty farkin things they were too. All they ask for is a small donation. They will take them away and destroy them as well. Any local cats they knock on neighbours doors and ask if they're the owners. As far as I'm concerned if your cats roaming the neighbourhood and killing the local wildlife the owners should be fined. All cats should have bells attached.

Cats in pots
Its no good using cats in cray pots ---they scratch your arms when you put them in the bait box besides there is a $5000 fine for each baitbox if there is anything that has fur on it, same as for the pros.
Was disappointed when they brought the law in because roadkill rabbits were spot on, used to have an old esky and a heap of plastic shopping bags in the car and would stop and collect nearly every fresh one that I came across.

Fark cats! i hate them. Feral animals totally stuff up native bushland. All you soft touches will never get that though.
Hide in the pots definately held the crays. I dead shag on the surface was definately a good reason to stop and put it in the bait basket. Crays love them.
I remember once you could order chicken heads by the box. Never tryed it though.

They are a ferel pest like the owners.
A mate of mine has Blue Wrens that sit on the sesame sandwich whilst you eat-----he has no cats in his neighbourhood.

we used to have blue wrens around the house when the estate first got developed it was great to see them in the morning then when more houses got established and owners moved it with cats the wrens dissapeared a bloody great shame.Now i dont doslike cats if fact iv'e had a few over the years but what i absolutly hate is stupid owners of cats who say i dont have to keep my cat in he'd well fed and wouldn't touch wild birds.. give me a break

i've got a crazy old cat lady living next door to my place, her cats drive me insane, they keep me awake all night fighting and sreaming in my driveway, they sh#t and piss all over my lawn and driveway so it stinks, and they kill birds and leave them in my bloody shed!!. anyone with cats should keep them on their own property!! they are a stinking ferral pest!! i'm not stirring sh#t i just wish cat owners would take a bit more responsibility with thier pets and understand how frustrated thier neighbours get

Yep totally agree guys the reason we got the ferals trapped was because they kept pissing on our bbq and stinking it up. Cat's piss is the worst stench ever. If I hadda seen them they would have got a boot up the arse they never woulda forgot. Like you say supervisor there are all these laws for dogs but none for cats. Woman up the road still hates us cause we trapped HER cat in OUR yard. Go figure.

Coil lead
Coil lead with the engine ticking over works better. Seen it done to a dog that would always pinch eggs from the chook pen, end of coil lead in one end of egg and earthed through a sheet of tin, once it opened its gob to pick the egg up it completed the circuit through its tongue, never went near another egg.

Spoke to my cat trap mate today and he reckons autoone in malaga still sell them, humane traps.....set it in ur yard to catch anyones cat and send it to the haven is what ur allowed to do

Couple of minutes
Only took a couple of minutes, stuck another bit of wire on to a plug lead and an earth to the sheet of tin as a ground plane, once the dog spotted the egg on the sheet of tin he bolted straight to it, one lick and it was all that it needed.
