Yeah we did too, they're great tucker. We'd get them with ferrets or shoot them. Wasn't too much fun when you missed a bit of buckshot when you were cleaning them and found it in a mouthful though...
rabbit hunting is good fun. would u think it is worth 30 dollars a kg at the butchers, well it is, .22 and a country block = loving life and a great feed at the end
dumb ass. gps collars on my ferrets .easy as piss .10 mins max a rabbit hole if they nail a bunny we know exactly where they are .beats digging like the old days .20 to 30 rabbits in a morning . pretty funny to watch great video..
Never got bitten once, they used to freeze in the spot beam and we would madly jump out of the ute and run up and grab them, always had a dog with us to chase em fdown if they took off - shooting them was too easy whereas catching them was "sport" - great eating - yum.

Pretty gnarly stuff. I think I'd just stick with using ferrets though - quicker and safer when they bite you

Used to trap them with my father and uncle, this is now illegal and probably should be with the amount of "bycatch" we would get.
