I did it earlier today without any hassles. I expect the sheer volume of people logging on was always going to create congestion. As I understand it, it is not imperative this be completed today so tomorrow maybe a better option.

if you are doing on an iPad or iPhone you have to do it via safari not Google I got caught earlier with this.

ABS say it should take around 30 minutes and I found that to be about right for the 2 persons in the house.
Yes there appear to be a few teething problems but for a reported $100M saving to the tax payers for it being online I'm all for it. Too much negativity these days, think positive all.

Couldn't agree more, people could have done it last week if they had been bothered. No system can handle the sheer volume of Australians logging on all on the same evening, and if it could, there would not have been any cost saving.
I suppose it could have been communicated better that it doesn't need to be done on the night though

No not a male gigolo , but just a mug who spent 30 minutes doing 2016 ( no) -census , only to
not be able to submit , or save , and after 10 minutes it just wiped the lot!
Now they charge 180 a day for not filling it in , I would estimate my lost time with family , or watching a sunset etc etc as priceless
so the bastards are getting a invoice for my time .
I encourage others to do the same , write it out all nice and send to

i did my last night , included the persons i thought would be at home at my place tonight , guess what things change and the two people i thought that would be here arnt here , so much for accuracy , bloody joke , anouther waste of sqillions of dollars , think its 180 dollar fine if you dont do it every 1 should send a bill to the goverment for 140 dollars for wasting our time anouther thing is my internet conection a tax deduction now i am working for the goverment ?
