Cervantes offshore help

Heading to Cervantes this weekend in the hope of finding a new weekend getaway location for me and the pups who are growing ever more interested in ofshore fishing (ages 7, 9, & 11). I have looked on the charts and found that the nothern tip of Direction Bank comes within about ten miles of town. I'm not taking the kids this weekend, just a couple of mates to have a bit of an exploration session and to suss out the beach lauch situation etc. Charts show a rise from low 40's to low 30's in a finger shape that heads south from due west of town. I would love to hear from anyone who has fished this area and their success/failures. Not asking for any spots, just advice. Will post report when I get back on Monday.
Cheers, Nemo.

The fishing is crap
The beach launch is shocking and the local pub never has cold beer so tell all your friends to find somewhere elseWhat size boat are you running and what tow vehicle?
So tell me have you got your info from years on the water or hours on the internet?
