If you are chasing a manual

If you are chasing a manual try ebay, you may be able download electronic version. I am not familiar with the mariner, but you are either looking for a nut/bolt or grommet connection to disconnect the rod. Have a good look it should be there.

the shaft is either connected via a pin that that can be slid out with

The weight supported or else a double ended bolt. either way when you see

Which it is it will take about 2 mins to release. easy as.

oops i have done something

Mon, 2013-12-23 11:13

oops

i have done something wrong, i have no reverse gear, neutral is half way between neutral and reverse and when i start it in neutral it is already underload in forward.

i didnt think you could start the motor while it is in gear but i can, so back to the drawing board, i think it is out of my league now, will have to get it looked at  after xmas.

Drop the leg off again, put box in neutral and controls in neutral then put it back together again.
