Chartplotter Advice Needed
Submitted by Simo_ on Sat, 2014-04-05 07:39
Hi Everyone
I'm looking at getting a new chartplotter, currently I have a Navman Trackfish 6600 that I use just as a plotter. I need to get something that is similar size 20cm unit width.
Any recommendations?
Cheers

There are
Stand alone models.
The letter M signifies it being a chart plotter only eg. HDS 9m

Chivers just fitted up an HDS8 Gen2
for me in my boat today. A combo unit with Structurescan. They have on there wall HDS models up to 12 Gen2 along with Simrad and Furuno all set up so you can try them out in simulator mode.
Go see Chriso, most helpful and knowledgeable.

Guessing
You mean Raymarine DRAGONFLY Peter?
Having used one a fair bit the chirp/downvision on these units is far better than the chart plotter.
