You see Bill there is really only one team with something to lose, last game before they head back to the hub life where things weren't so rosie...
Clarkson no doubt being the competitor he is will still try and win games but I expect him to play kids along the way... I guess there is a tiny glimmer of hope Hawks can play finals as even this far in its hard to see who will finish 4-8...
A few weeks ago the Pies were red hot etc... 6 weeks ago the Eagles were shitful....
So altough I'm certainly not expecting to beat the RED HOT HIGH FLYING EAGLES, I expect them to go pretty well...
The Eagles wouldn't want to get ahead of themselves now would they Bill...

Pretty awesome back story Boon. I played a season out bush and there were at least 5 fella who could have made the bigtime. Lyndon Bird for Goomalling could have been anything, was kicking 110 goals a season from 14 games in the competitive Mortlock league.

It is the way it goes, if the so stated wrong player who kicked the ball had missed the shot and Freo win, no one says anything
Was the decision the correct one in the first instance, apparently so,
Brayshaw had no chance of smothering the ball, he intentionally made contact, albeit very soft but front on
Did the contact affect the kick, no it didn't, the ball was already well clear and always going out of bounds,
As for the 2018 Grand Final, sure Maynard was blocked off the ball, however with so little time left in the match
Why was he back there on his own to allow that to happen, the whole bloody team should have been down back,
The umpiring this year has been ordinary at best including from boundary umpires missing when the ball is clearly out of bounds
but hey we were all taught to play to the whistle and thats all that matters.
Dont let it eat you up because there is always next week.

Ive moved on Skull....disappointing as although laughable for some on here we did have a small window of hope for the 8...this now gone with that loss. For a new coach with such a young inexperienced side that would have been something.
When people say the first two goals were give away's...or we shouldn't have been in the situation anyway etc etc is a load of shit.
Calton should have won the game in the 3rd and blown us in the 4th...but they didn't. If he missed the kick the umpiring would still have been reviewed I'm sure.
As a freo supporter it is what it is....we haven't won sh%t, its will come one day....but I still wonder who tie's the shoe laces of these eagles supporters who love having a laugh at these situations...even after all there success...Special for sure!

Not a bad game yesterday for the Eagles. I thought the umpiring was pretty good and I'll admit we got the better end of thge stick against Carlton last week. Overall that game was shit umpiring but we came out better. Not a Freo fan but I think they were shafted with that decision. Probably shouldn't have been that close anyway though!

Interesting looking at AFL team rankings on the AFL website. Eagles last in Free kicks for with North, Adelaide and the Pies being the top three. Dockers close to the bottom too
Cats are the best team on paper followed by the Pies.
