Come on WA Government

In both NSW and Victoria if you are a pensioner you do not need to hold a fishing licence yet in WA whilst we get a discount we are still required to hold a licence.......time WA recognised us OAP's and copied the eastern states lead What do you think?

They changed the rules not long ago . Kids under 16 don't need a  licence, and no more closed season .

that realy sux.  primary school age would be fair but once in high school a small fee for the licence. once they leave school and go to work full fee even if they leave at 15 . imo it would be fair and once retired free again. gotta have something to look forward to

 The pensioners get that

Thu, 2018-03-08 20:26

The pensioners get that little as it is and how often do they go fishing anyway with the Wa weather being the way it is. Surely it’s not that big a deal. Let them fish I recon for free.

According to the figures WA

Mon, 2018-03-12 09:17

According to the figures WA Fisheries bring in over 10 million dollars a year from recreational fishing licences second only to NSW. Given that NSW has 3 times the population and is close neighbours to Vic and Qld (where fishers often fish over the border) its pretty obvious to see we are getting ripped off.
