A Sad Loss - My Condolences Colin
This is very upsetting news. The loss of a life-long friend and partner must be such a difficult thing. Not to mention the emotions involved over your time of caring for her. I lost my Dad to the same thing earlier this year and I found that very difficult.
I wish you all the best Colin. As stated above, your contribution here is priceless and I guess, on a more positive note, you have a wealth of friends who are very keen to see you through your period of grief and be there for you as and when it's needed.

Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts
It means a great deal to me at this time.
It has been a very tough time for the past 18 months, but it has been fishing and Fishwrecked that has kept me feeling positive in that.
Thanks again for your all your thoughts and I hope to be posting up a picture of that elusive 60 cm plus metro tailor soon (Lol), Colin

I will be away for the next 2 weeks as of Saturday so there will be an empty house if you would like to get away. You are more than welcome to come and stay. And you'll also have a better chance of that tailor. All the best Col

Sorry to hear the news Colin. I hope you are holding up as best you can.
You've always wished us the best at the end of your posts, and while it might be hard for us to match all the help, effort and great posts you've contributed to this site, I hope we can at least try to help you as much as you've helped us.
So, Colin, I wish you all the best in this difficult time. If theres anything we can do to make it less difficult, then we're here for you.

Col,
I haven't been in here for a while, only because I've been busy with non fishing stuff.
Mate; I know you and Lynsey have gone through a huge, tough and long battle and yet, despite that, you managed to keep your head up and your humour ever present.
I'm devasted to hear the news.
You are a person so rare in excellent selfless qualities and I'm therefore honoured to count you as one of my very best and valued friends.
Sandra and I extend our very deepest and heartfelt condolences.
Mate, if there is ANYTHING I can do to help or offer support, just name it.
Deep, caring love from us both mate!

one big family
looking at so many comments by people that have never met Colin or his family in person is great to see , its like one big family on this site and it can be quite touching to see so many offering their support for a true gentleman such as Colin and even one that has offered his house so Colin can just get away with his kids for a while .I know Colin has a couple of good friends that will be standing by his side and helping him through all this and im sure he would do the same for others . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Take good care of yourself and your kids in this tough time Colin and as you have seen there is so many people on here who have their thoughts with you, dont let that big smile of yours fade away mate as things will get better with time as hard as it may seem right now. however long it might take remember there is a 60 cm tailor out there with your name on it. all the best and most kindest regards
