Commodore Marine

Dear Fishwrecked followers

I write to advise that Commodore Marine Pty Ltd was placed into liquidation on 2 June 2011. Kim Wallman, of HLB Mann Judd (Insolvency WA) is the liquidator and from now on, will be the first point of contact for Commodore Marine.

I was left with no option but to appoint Kim after my efforts to sell the business of Commodore Marine had stalled in recent weeks. Whilst I am deeply disappointed with this outcome, it was the only option that remained after many months of holding the business together.

All is not lost however - under Kim’s guidance, we are surveying the options to sell all or part of the business which as this point in time, appears to be in the best interests of the creditors of the company.

If you have any queries in relation to the liquidation, please contact Kim on 08 9215 7900.

Thank you for your support over the years.

getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.

In these situations there are always innocent parties that get burnt.  Hope that doesn't apply to anyone on here.

Not good to hear Andrew.

As a Commodore owner for the last 5 years, I can't speak any more highly of the quality of the boats and service from the team at Commodore.

Hope the best outcomes can be achieved for all parties.

Very sad to hear

Even with quality boats and a quality guy (Andrew) running the show, these things can happen unfortunately.

Business and economics can be a bitch sometimes.

Knowing both Kim and Andrew quite well, I am sure the best outcome will be sought for all concerned and as quickly as possible.

Hope everything works out for you Wade, and anyone else with boats in the build stages. It must be incredibly frustrating and concerning. Best advice is to contact Kim straight away.

Same goes for Andrew, hope everything works out for you too mate. A top bloke who doesn't deserve this sort of thing to happen to him, thats for sure.

Commodore Marine in China

Thu, 2012-06-21 16:41

yeah look i dont know exactly how this all played out, but even though Commodore Marine was liquidated , it basically was able to put the entire contents of the shed all the boat moulds, R&D (Research and Development) boat moulds, basically the entire contents of the shed into 40foot sea containers and ship the the whole business to Hainan Island China under a different trading name. It fired all the staff, shook off all the business partners and Andrew Welch is carrying on happy business as usual. how is this allowed to happen ...is this legal? It is just unfortunate that the way there, involves burning fair dinkum aussies. ..i dont think it is legal to ship all those boat moulds to China under liquidation. ..smart crafty highpowered lawers and liquidators might not share that same view.

i have saved all the pics from this Hainan Commodore Marine (HCM) site

Enjoy while these sites are still up .
