Coral Bay - I see Red
Submitted by Simo_ on Tue, 2010-04-20 18:02
Went out this morning and got into the Reds Was done by 11am. Amanda only put the line down 4 times for 3 Reds and an undersize spanglie, 1 of the Reds was dropped 1m from the boat .
I got a 7kg and a 5.5kg Red and a nice Rankin. Amandas bigger red was 5kg.
Not bad for a windy choppy day.

I think Coral Bay has more
I think Coral Bay has more Reds than Exxy, on Sunday Amanda got 2 reds in 2 drops on that same piece of bait and I got destroyed by a huge Red. Back at the filleting table a guy had an 11kg Red, It was massive.

Amanda got one on Occy and
Amanda got one on fresh Occy and the other on a cocktail of spanglie, fresh occy, squid & scalie.
I got my big one on half a fresh occy and the other on a whole cockburn sound squid.
Big baits was the go, as much as the hooks would take.
