Hi
Just wanting some info on Coral Bay or Exmouth
Looking at booking a week or more in July in either Coral Bay or Exmouth
We have 2 boys, 5 & 8 plus taking up our quintrex 475 so can't be going out to deep with the kids.
Do both towns have good boat ramps?
Can you fish just of coral bay or is it all sanctuary zoned?
Can anyone recommend which caravan park is good or hire house in both places
Also which is safer for beach fishing
Any other info would be great

Exmouth
With kids 5 & 8 i would think Exmouth is better. Exmouth has three ramps which gives you more options than Coral Bay.
We have stayed a couple of times at Osprey Village in Exmouth, clean and tidy, room for your boat and the facility has a pool. This year have booked a house to accomodate a larger boat.
Coral Bay is probably better for kids to swim, howver think that Exmouth has more options overall IMO.
Must admit though, I am not a fan of Coral Bay - too touristy for me.

No question Exmouth
If it is windy you have both the gulf and the ocean side ......shallow water snorkelling, walking the reef at low tide for occies, safe swimming in the gulf, even crabbing down the gulf a bit, both blues and muddies

Depends if you're going for a
Depends if you're going for a chill out or to go fishing.
If for relaxing week with a bit of swimming then go Coral Bay. If for Fishing then Exxy.
I say that because from Coral Bay you dont need to drive to go for a swim where at Exmouth, you have to do 60km round trip to see the ningaloo side.
