G'Day everyone
Chasing some info and feedback from people who are in the know regarding rebuilds or repairing glass boats in particular the Baron Sportsman.
I have for some time now wanted to get myself a "project boat" and love the Baron's. Can anyone give me some tips on what might costs are involved with;
Pod cost $
Re-paint cost $
Built in Fuel tank cost $
Stainless bar work cost $
Windscreen cost $
Any other info would be bonza!
Cheers
Chris

If you are going to a lot
If you are going to a spend lot of time off shore. Cut the floor open and strengthen your hull. I ran 200mm x 50 mm Oregan beams glassed in. Full length. Great ride for length.
just paid $2600 for welded alum window frame with harden glass.
$2000 for stainless
$3000 for front, top & side clears
full hull extension $2000
dont go paint
pm your email and I will send pics

Baron project
Windscreen -$350 for frame, perspex, silicone, template and fit yourself.
Stainless targa bar with rod holders- $1500
Canopy and clears all round- $3000
Ali fuel tank 120lt $650
Do not paint the hull, it will de value the boat, regelcoat if need be - big dollars

Has anyone with the Outrider
Has anyone with the Outrider model continued to use the standard marlin board type step at the back and had a custom pod made to fit in the recessed part?
If so, what motor are you running on it and what weight is it handling?
Chasing information on buoyancy created by this type of pod and what size (weight) motor works well.
