Crabbing in Mandurah on Sunday

Went for a crab down at Mandurah near the Cut yesty.

Picked up a dozen crabs , threw loads of undersized back.

Was very slow at the start and picked up around 3.30 onwards.
Only picked up one that was a good size but all were fairly full of meat.

Cant believe the amount of people that had pots out.

Was a good day though, did a pot pull lap and then cranked up the stereo and dove overboard to cool off. repeat.

Pity I had to drive as a esky loaded with Ice and beer would of topped of the day.

Crabs

Nice work mate! We are killing the pig in the swan at the moment - got 13 between two of us in an hour on sat night. All really full of meat and well over size. All blues too. Gotta say it's one of the nicest meals on the planet - a big bowl of cleaned half crabs, drizzle a bit of brown vinegar over the top, tear up a few fresh rolls and start opening the beers.... Bloody hell I love this country

Hey Matt,

Gotta agree with you there - yum. Have you been snorkelling and diving for them?

We've been trying lately around east freo/north freo with little or no luck.  Have been snorkelling for them just on dusk.

Cheers,

Pete
