Crabbing tomes

is the time of the day important for crabbing? Can you catch crabs (of the seafood variety) at lunchtime, or is it a waste of time trying? When is best - dawn or dusk?

dusk and dawn are both good

dusk and dawn are both good (dusk/dark/arvo better imo), midday is better for boats/drop nets in deeper water whereyou can get to darker/cooler water. we went to south yunderup and between the 10 of us (scooping), we were lucky to get 5 sized blues before dusk/dark.

2 of us were keen and went back out just on dark and got enough to fill everyones quota (but didnt keep the lot as it was too much).

just my 2c

I've been bagging out at

I've been bagging out at 10/11am in Mandurah driving the shallows in my dinghy and jumping out with a scoop when I see one. The trick is to stir them up a bit.
