Crabs in the swan

Is there a ban at all on crabs in the swan?
if not has anyone been hearing reports of the guys about at the moment?

no ban in swan
so far as i know...haven't seen anyone out though might be a bit early...but gotta be in it to win it ...I hear they are saying the harvey/peel estuaries have a warning of algae poisoning with the crabs ( shellfish) bit of a worry that opens after the 31st october

Plenty in Freshwater Bay.
Plenty in Freshwater Bay. Alot of just undersize but enough size to get a feed. Mostly active toward midnight at the moment with the tide.

Grabbed 13 by hand with a
Grabbed 13 by hand with a mate yesterday. All good size, just went shallower water in the afternoon sun.

the swan doesnt have a ban
the swan doesnt have a ban on crabs only mandurah area and cockburn that i know off. theres a sh!t load of smaller ones but managed to get a dozen yesterday just lazily between 12-4. just left the nets to the side and went skurfing while we were waiting.

greatex, i was cruising aound in mosman bay with a boat load ofpeople having some drinks and lunch, and there were a couple people crabbing arond me, but seemed to be small in size from what they were singing me when i asked...

terboz123 i was in fresh water bay in the north eastern corner just off the moorings and there was so many small ones but still managed a feed. there were a few mates out on jetskis i was on my boat a white centre console bout 21ft cruising round so probably would have cruised past you at some stage

What water depth in freshwater bay? My nets are rigged for peel / harvey so I only have about 5 metres of line on them?

mate need about 10-15 metres.
mate need about 10-15 metres. just goto bunnings and you can get 20m coils for like $4 each just get 5 and cut them in half

Diddly Squat Crabs This Morning...
Tried south and north of canning bridge at first light...not one crab not even any small ones...didn't really anticipate to get many...but nadda not a thing..might have to lengthen the ropes and head around to blackwall or freshwater bay next time for a look...
