My apologies for not writing this post sooner.  It has been a reasonably difficult job to evaluate exactly the cray bait we will supply in 2016 and the associated costs.  Add in the bulky nature of the frozen bait and it is quite a logistical exercise.

We will stock Blue Mackerel, Tuna Heads, Orange Roughy Heads and Mixed Fish Pieces and Heads (blue mackerel chunks, mullet chunks, reef fish heads and wings, tuna heads, roughy heads, and other assorted suitable material with composition depending on availability). 

You can purchase cray bait from us in 20kg boxes or 5kg bags (9-12 pieces per bag).  We have arrangements with suppliers where we will receive daily delivery of bulk bait as required, although there are sometimes supply issues with different baits from time to time.  An image of the freezer holding the 5kg bags is below.

As mentioned in a previous post comment, the price of cray bait varies considerably across the retail suppliers and we would really appreciate Member comment on whether our pricing is appropriate.  We have set our initial prices on the basis of bulk distribution so margins don’t have to be inflated and unreasonable.  Do you think we are high, low, or right on each size offering as set out below?  Is there anything else?

The best way to ensure we can supply your requirements is to order in advance.  We will have shop stock every day but certain items do sell out.  You can come in, order through our web site, or for orders over 50kg contact us to arrange.

It looks like it will be a good season.  Our aim is to supply quality bait for a fair price from a business in Wangara that has all the required approvals to do so.
