Cricket World Cup.

Not fishing, sorry, but can anyone explain to me why Smith & Warner are taking their cricket gear to the UAE ???

I didnt know they had proven themselves playing at the top of their games yet.

Both have had a below average time in the middle lately.

To think that someone that is playing well & gelled into the team will miss out because Aussie cricket is a "Boys Club".

I thought Justin Langer was better than that.

IOM they both should have been stripped of their Baggy Greens.......

Bancroft has shown more form than those 2 put together. Marsh is the only baggage the aussies have but it is a club for mates so probably will stay in there aswell.
Havent had a lot of time for cricket this year and not likely to in the near future either.

Do the crime do the time and these biys have dine their time 10x over.

Smith is 100% a walk up start and if Warner is back to his best in the warm up matches then Finch can carry the drinks.

Did Warner recently have his elbow surgery? But I agree if in form paly them if they've finished their penalties, Langer will know what to do with these boys as far as dicipline.

Adam, can you move this to where it belongs?

Sat, 2019-03-16 10:42

Certainly doesnt belong in the Fishing Discussion sub forum. And to the original poster-- you said you knew it wasnt fishing, so why did you post it here? It belongs in General Discussion.

I also just use Latest Content, but to actually post you have to select a section, it doesnt do it at random.

Not a huge deal except when (say) you only want to look at peoples trips etc so go to that section.

Cricket?, never been a huge fan and since all these goings on and the poor sportsmanship evident for a long time, Im out altogether

You call that a rant..

Sat, 2019-03-16 16:42

..you haven't seen a rant. Some people are careless as to what they post where, or do it by mistake. That happens. What is your reason? Again, you said you knew it wasn't fishing, but posted it anyway, when you must have known it was a General Discussion topic. Think you won't get enough views there, or just trolling? Curious.

Some of you may just go to the latest post on whatever, some of us use the forum only for what interests us, which is fishing and boating, and largely stay out of General Discussion.

Reading the title of 'Cricket World Cup' why did you open it when it clearly isn't fishing and therefore doesn't interest you?

Fishwrecked has never been

Sat, 2019-03-16 17:05

Fishwrecked has never been the type of site that is hard on posters if they post in the wrong forum. Wander down and have a read in the general discussion forum and you will see that, but it is a good local site where in general most people accept that and don't worry too much. Go and have a fish and let everyone know how you go. you have good input normally.

Well back to the cricket

Sun, 2019-03-17 09:19

Neither got a start in the last two games against India which was a good call i think. But they both need a chance to play agaianst good/quality bolwers before the world cup starts.

Got to test all players which make up the full squad prior to settling in a the starting line up.

Smith and Warner are in the UAE simply for a catch up with the Australian team, nothing more. They're on the way to IPL to get some cricket under their belts. If their form is good enough then they will get a run in the World Cup, if not, then they won't. They got a big penalty and have (almost) done their time, I think that we all just need to relax.

Apology.

Mon, 2019-03-18 14:28

I deeply apoligise to ranmar and those who can't just scroll past a subject.

I will not do it again.

I just have one question.

Should i have put this apology on the General discussion page (where nobody will know what it's about)?

Or leave it here to which i will probably get into trouble from him again, but then he wouldn't know i have apoligised for it.

Geez some people make life way too hard.

cheers.

Looks like Jhye Richardson has broken his right arm in Sharjah tonight, landed awkwardly when fielding.

Mon, 2019-03-25 09:27

CA have reported it as a dislocated shoulder to his bowling arm. That's a real shame for the young man who give it his all and hopefully there's no ligament damage.

Nonetheless we're hitting a purple patch of ODI form at the perfect time! Warner smacked 85 from 53 in the IPL too.
