Gday Bill was out on the water today while not fishing was able to talk to other boaties who wer fishing. They didn't mention anything about the current but mentioned heaps about the bloody chop that had been in all day (grrr made running in a motor an interesting experience)>They were drifting and burleying up so I would say that the current has droped down to a "fishable" level. Now if someone can figure out how to fix this bloody weather the better off we will all be.Hope to have helped

Cheers OX if people didn't keep saying how good the weather is going to be it would prob be okay .My theory is if it looks good long range it's going to be crap and if it looks crap long term it can only get better.Good to hear you are happy with your new motor
Nothing beats a day on the water catching a fish is just a bonus
As our good friends from Monty Python mentioned "ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE!".......lol
Hope ya managed to get out and get into a few fish mate (My special anti-hex program should be working...HA HA HA HA)

Bill was out at the south west bank on Thursday with James and the current and conditions were great could not have asked for better the current was a slow drift didnt need the sea anchor
Current was ripping through today outwide. Guys were using 48oz sinkers in the 90's and struggling to keep bottom. Went to the derwent and wasnt possible to get a bait down. Left the really big sinkers behind today.
The only way I could hold bottom today was to latch onto a cray float great burley cages them cray pots
