karratha is overdue for a direct hit, we'll cop a good red alert this year ai think. Keep an eye out the first one down our coast is on it's way this weekend, probably do the usual first one of the season deal and shoot inland north of Broome. Late jan for the first one to come down to the Pilbara and March for the big daddy to come and play ball.

Yep
Thats what got my attention Bruce, this one 'coming' might need a bit of a pump to be anything more than a bit of rain. I reckon January 8th, between Hedland and Ktown (balla) as a cat 2/3

Perth
Don't be surprised with the warm water that we get one down towards Perth. We nearly got hit earlier this year.

Situation brewing up in the Timor Sea
Might see one sooner than I thought. Would just ruin a nice planned Chrissy in Exxy. Hoping you are right Brucesta or that it is a fizzer.

Heard on the C10
weather report, think it was last Friday, they are looking a low near Darwin, keeping a eye on it, I can remember the tail end of a cyclone here in Perth quite a few years ago, Mum & I sitting outside with the transistor on (no power) getting merry on whisky & dry watching the trees in the backyard neary kiss the earth hahahaha Think the winds were just over 100klms a hour

first one was already off
first one was already off the coast out far west.
Water is dam hot again this year off the Exxy gulf.
But with hot stormy conditions off Indo and PNG, I'd be saying a Cat 2 off Broome before mid Jan and a Cat 4 in the Gulf of Carps by end of Jan.
Darwin could spawn a low to cat1 into the Kings Sound by New Years day, but that trough is not as strong as it appears looking at other sat images.
I thnik we in for about five by March / April, with one good strong one coming to Exxy / Coral Bay again!

latest updates seem to make
latest updates seem to make it seem more likely two before New Years day!
Just wating for latest water temps to come in and then make my final call, but yeah I'd say Broome has a sucker on it's way and Darwin will as well!~~~~
Broome one I think will scrape by the coast and not be too much puff, but Darwin one could creep around the Kimberlies and come in to smack to Port Headland in a Cat 2 or 3
