Daiwa boat braid issue

i have Pe 5 daiwa boat braid spooled on my 2015 saltiga 5000. Problem is its noisy when winding under load while fishing on to the spool. Seems like it's not a round braid, more flat. Only thing I could think. Anyone else have this issue? Cheers

Braid is not round
so your perception that it is lies flat is correct and not out of the ordinary.

Iv been using saltiga boat
Iv been using saltiga boat braid for 6-7 years and Iv never had a problem. I think it's more the sort of rod and size of the reel you use! Iv found high carbon rods with a big spinning reel are noisy. Iv got a custom jigging rod with a Stella 30k on it and it's noisy as f;(k. My mates Stella 20k with same line is pretty quiet. The 30k spool would be what 4"? And the 20k 2.5"? Bigger rotation more noise. I run the same line on my electric reels. I don't hear any line noise on the jigging master rod but the t-curve deep jigger I can hear it.
I could be compleatly wrong but thats what I put it down to
Any one free to help me pull my drum lines tomorrow?

Haven't had a problem with the line and I rate it. Both me and my brother are running saltiga 5000 with the same line and both are noisy. I take its like you said, a reel/line combo that makes the noise. Cheers

Reece is spot on, im using a couple of 6500 expeditions on Xzoga rods which are noisy the same Saltiga boat boat braid on My Miya Electrics and is quiet as

I vote noisy line roller. I just replaced a noisy one on one of my stradics. Only ever noisy while under load.

The reason I eliminated that
The reason I eliminated that was both brand new of the same reel do it with exactly the same line. Be odd that two new reels would have the same issue.

Boat Braid is one of the "quietest" braids out there, try power pro, you will need ear muffs......
I vote roller bearing.
