Penn
I had a look at a Penn Tournament rod the other day , pretty sweet and not to expensive , was rated 3 to 5 kilo and 6 foot 6 long , nice brim stick plus maybe targeting bigger fish as well.
Anyone else got a Tourny ????

Maybe look at one of the
Maybe look at one of the Shimano Tournament T-Curve 6'6" XL Spins? they come with Fuji silicon guides and are built really well, very impressive rod for the price. ~200 bucks
If thats too much, the shimano raider series of rods are a good cheaper alternative at about 119 with fuji alconite runners.

Hi Vander
nice to meet ya today....you seem to like the emeraldas.....what? dont like purple or green?? Too bad...lol
Good choice with the Sol. Value for money for an upmarket reel I reckon.....rods to suit are aplenty.....there's Penn, Daiwa, Shimano, Okuma, Strudwick and many more.

The Caldia KIX is also a
The Caldia KIX is also a good reel which is what the Sol is based on. The main differenc is the Sol utilises a metal rotor and includes a spare spool. Oh....that bright paintjob....

Happy
IMO you will be very happy with the TD Sol. Have the 2000 model (6lb fireline) myself matched to a 7 foot heartland z. Great outfit.
