Dampier Trolling, BBSMacs or C trout

I have been targetting both. I am just trying to find the best leader for both. Single strand wire with Haywire for the Macs is all thats needed. Trying to find the right combo for the trout has me a little baffled. Is it Flouro for sinking or Mono for floating. And also what strenght as the higher you go the less fish attack. Trying to get the balance right. Any help from the Pilbara crew appreciated (and anyone that has an opinion).

Cheers

Neels

cransy i dont really troll

cransy i dont really troll for mackies mate, if i get them it is usually a bycatch and i always have mono on which generally resluts in lost lures a lot of the time

if the mackies become a pain i move

trout i use 80 or 100lb as a minimum, depending on the ground i am fishing (shallow harsh) i use at least two to two and a half meters of it.

simple rig, allbright to single strand braid, no doubles never had one come unstuck, yet...

Do you spend the money on Flouro or just a tough leader like 10X.

nah no flouro

not 10x

depends on the aplication but i like the heavy black magic, not the supple monos for trout. Bit more abrasion resistance

100lb jinki is ok because it is supple but similar diameter to the 80lb black magic

Personally I'd go with a FC

Personally I'd go with a FC leader for trout, less visible and more abrasion resistance. More expensive but might pay off if you're serious about big trout on lures.

im with brad as there the same as i use.

with macs use small barrel swivels (not brass) as the macs tend to hit them.I aslo use single strand wire but only about 20-40cm long.

as for trout i have only caugth one trolling( the one on my profile pic).I caught it on 20lb main to 60lb leader to 80lb wire on a deep diver lure (yo-zurie)buy chance, wasnt realy targetting them.
