Haha this is his toughest fight since he wimped out and retired
Um boxing is boxing and i hope green wins but he retired once before.. and that was when the competition was hot..
kinda like when you were a kid and some rich kid brings all his cricket gear to the park as soon as the competition heats up he grabs it all and goes home
i mean mundine beat him and he fights no namers...
i was down the pub,with half of WA
when it was on and it was the only time i saw green fight and i was totally disapointed..
i mean the ko, 4 fights before the main event was more satisfying...
maybe coz by the time it came on i had to watch it with one eye clo0sed
any way he might get lucky and get one of them big hits in i hope so..
gotta give it to him tho

Id love for Danny to win, But Roy Jones Junior is a class outfit, even at 40, hes won the title 8 times. I think Danny lacks the speed, in the hands and feet, and even the power. You just dont see him knocking people over like he did <30.
Fox was running a "Danny's Greatest fights" thing on main event the last few days. He looked far better when he was younger.
Anyway, I think it should be a good afternoon, watching it at my old house with a projector and the boys comming over for pizza and beer!

Tough one to call...
...I think Danny's got more to prove...I think the boxing fans, and the boxing world in general, sort of brushed him under the carpet after he lost the Mundine fight, and he (like Mundine) has fought a bunch of no-namers since. A win against an opponent of this magnitude would stick him straight back into the limelight.
Jones has been there, done that, not much more to prove, and his style of fighting (quick hands/footwork) doesn't suit a 40 year old. However, if it goes the distance, he would probably get it on points....a much better technical fighter than Green; a true boxer. Green will have to knock him out to win, I reckon, but he's got the stamina/fitness (more than most sluggers) to be able to do it in any round.

Knowing Dan and what he holds as values, its great to know him and makes us proud to have an Aussie like him.
He's taking on a real champion and whatever the outcome he has had a crack and earn't respect. He's not only taking on a real opponent but tried to do so much in bringing it to Aus, and also trying to get it to Perth.

Might be a good hourly rate if you only look at the 122 seconds of the fight. But now calculate it including the last 6 months of training (or more) when he doesn't get paid. Hourly rate is still pretty good, but nothing like what you think if you look at the fight alone.
Good to see Danny win I might add. I was very impressed with his lat muscles at the weigh in. There is a lot of power in those babies. That was some physique.
