Day 2 - LSL
Winds were looking too flash coastal and my dinghy 2 stroke needs a run so I packed my bream rods and heading to my place of meditation.. otherwise known as South Guildford. Headed straight for my honey hole which is a long sandy flat with a drop off but the tide was huge and the water was pushed right up behind the reeds and did a few run on the troll for one hit and moved to snag country.
Nailed a 23cm straight away after a few short casts and I knew it was going to be one of those days where is you aren't prepared to lose your gear you weren't going to get a hook up and only managed to lose one Ecogear and 2 jig heads. Nailed about a dozen 23-28cm bream and a few rats over the next four hours and hooked into a solid one that would have gone at least 33cm but lost him due to drag mismanagement (too tight).
Cracking day on the water and I can get used to this whole not working thing.
Snag country!

No shame in that!
Should have stopped off a mandoon for a cold beverage amongst your travels to really top the day off!

Nice
Nice job mate, Have you noticed some of the old snags are gone after the floods ?
I went up that way a few weeks ago and had to start re learning some of my spots, whole trees were gone that had been there for 15 years or so. A few holes i fish had gathered some debri of sorts and were almost unfishable, loosing a bit of gear to them before finding the clear spots .

Yeah
Yeah, most would be. Its been real hard to judge the tides up there since they blocked the river of at the stadium.
