The day after

After the usual chaos on xmas day morning with the kids/grandkids getting up at some ungodly hour(the time that most of us get up to go fishing) just to see what father christmas has put under the tree for them , then the clean up just in time for the rellies to drop in (and make more mess with wrapping)then hang around for lunch so your slaving away in the kitchen or on the bbq while they empty your fridge of all your beer and leave you the light stuff, then once the food has gone and beers empty they say goodbye and again you clean up just in time for the next wave of visitors ,by this time you have just about exhausted all your energy, its late afternoon and you have to start cooking all over again for dinner, its now getting late and the visitors have finally gone ,you have cleaned up (once again) its time to sit down and have a nice cold beer and relax, you go to the fridge but all you see is empty shelves , feeling exhausted you decide to just grab a coffee but no milk eitherso you sit down with a glass of water and think "what the hell do i do this for never again" The problem is you did the same thing last year and the year before and so on,you go to bed. the next morning you wake up and say to the wife "we had a great day yesterday but lets not do that again" you get the responce "we will see"

Hope you all had a great day seeing the pressies unwrapped and joy on the kids faces when they get what they asked for

all the best for the new year

but thankfully its only one day. And its all about the kids really.....

And you are right Paul, that bloody wind looks like its in for the week. There was a glimmer of hope a few days ago for Mon/Tues, but thats died in the ass. Was planning to head off Two Rocks, but I think I'm gonna have to shelve that - might just bob around in the Sound instead - I need to get out in the boat!

Boxing Day test, a couple of crays I caught, some prawns I bought, too many cold beverages and a lazy day is in order I reckon. Maybe throw in a bit of FIFA09 on the PS3.

else cooked the day before, made a potato, onion & sweet potato roasted with garlic, cummin chilli oil & sesame seed oil,  everthing cut up ham, chicken & turkey breast 2kg (love those rolls) don't like full turkey, just the breast.  My daughter had prawns, coleslaw, potato salad, noodle salad & garden salad.  Sat down to a feast, then daughter in law came over with our granddaughter, webber fired up & thank god her hubbie cooked the leg of ham (glazed) & two rolled pork, walking out (well rolled) about 7.30pm Xmas Day, old fart staggered to 4x4 I drove home, fell onto the couch and said no more and yes Russ & Sandi said the bloody same, but guess what we'll all do it again next year.
