 Great video.  Was the severe

Wed, 2014-11-19 20:21

Great video.  Was the severe movement half way through the pot being moved or pulled or caused by swell???

The pot movement half way through

Wed, 2014-11-19 21:19

the vid was caused by swell, even surprised us that it moved so much.. Will look at adding extra weight to the pot..

Cheers.  Makes you realise the power of the ocean.  What do you reckon the pot would weigh in the video?

Not sure of the weight

Wed, 2014-11-19 21:52

it is a 3/4 size pot, made the same as a pro pot but just a smaller size and no added weight..

There is a study paper on occys/crays

Wed, 2014-11-19 20:32

There is a paper by a lady from one of the universities (I haven't got a copy of it and can't remember her name)which studied the relationship between occys and crays in pots amongst other things, the paper was about crays and their interface with cray pots. Part of the study showed that the occys where more interested in the bait than the crays. If I can remember the title of the study paper I'll post up the link.

Swell

I reckon you would be lucky to get crays in the pot at that location, too much swell and movement. Good vid though, and I didn't mind the music
