Dhueys for Sea-Kem

The first couple of shots are from two trips up to the Bouvards from Bunbury with a mate and his son on his boat ---remember the limit was 10 dhufish each in those days so it was all legal.
The next one is off Two Rocks and the last is from one of the early trips to Gnaraloo that represents about 4 hours from leaving the shearing shed to time of return, again the limits then were different from what they are now.

Ahhhh, the good ol
Ahhhh, the good ol days....before my time, where the fish were plenty and the freezer's never empty!
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

I meant to say there are
I meant to say there are some great fish there John but there are a lot of people on that other thread talking about 28-30kg fish where the state record's only around 25kg. Would be good to see some proof. I don't doubt yours you've obviously been around the industry for years. A fisheman's arms can only strech so wide lol

Cameras
One wouldn't even consider taking a camera on a boat years back because of the cost of the camera and processing films. Its only since digital photography has come out that you see so many pics being taken
Usually taking a photo was the last thing on your mind when you get back to shore. State and Aust records weren't even thought of for what was nearly an every day fish. Sport fishing was for Zane Grey and his rich mates not those who just went out for a feed.

That first pic shows more
That first pic shows more quality Dhufish on one table then have ever been on my boat. My Dad has similar photos to that for Barra from back in the day. Amazing given today’s fishing!
