Dorsal Fin Position
The best way to tell them apart is the position of the first dorsal fin. In the Snook, the dorsal fin starts well the the rear of the pectoral fin, whereas in he Striped Seapike (Pike is a colloquial name) the dorsal fin starts around about at the end of the pectoral fin. Snook are also greyer in colour normally, whereas Striped Seapike are generally yellowish. Obviously Snook grow a lot bigger as well.
The position of the dorsal fin is the giveaway though.
