Does anyone target mullas near reefs and not the beach ??

Just chasing some adivce on chasing mullas on the boat during the ban. I know u can get them from the gutters at beaches but they must live near structure, well thats what I think. So are there anybody else who could help us out with a few reefs they recon in the metro that hold them. I know from living in Carnarvon that we would always get them at the Lady Joyce, Jetty, back of the islands and about 12 miles north of the jetty.

Surely the same principles apply in Perth, they must live somewhere lol

Any help would be great, just want to have a crack at them from the bot.

Your right gutters, wrecks, reefs etc all attracts bait fish and fish that eat bait for various reasons including mullas.  Once did a dive here in SA over reef and turned around to see a big mulloway following me.

Give it a go.

Definately, mullas love shallow reef structure.

Drift over shallow reef(5-10m)flick placcies in the holes and gaps between reefs for mulloway.

You will lose plenty but good fun.
