Yeah Ricey we got one installed into the bottom of a sliding glass door and it cost about $500 8 years ago! They need to replace the glass panel hence the cost.
Bunnings sell em in different sizes. I've had them in two different houses a it's a good product. The only tricky bit was getting the height right from the bottom of the doggie door to the floor. They recommended setting the height from the bottom of their stomach at standing height which was too high. We ended up setting it 110mm from the floor. Even had to resplice the cutout in the door to lower it, second install was even easier........(:
Thanks it's for girlfriends house and considering all options. Top of the list so far is an insert with dog door which slots in between the glass slider and the frame.

Is it going into glass? - need to get special glass around it?
Into a door - easy install
Into sliding door - seen additional pieces that can be added.
We are getting installed into small glass panel and was like $500 plus GST.... seems pricey
