Try this ...
Go to your account settings ... then the edit tab .... and make sure the box is ticked for 'Filtered HTML' under the heading 'Text formats enabled for rich-text editing:'

under the comment box it says, disable rich-text, next to the word comment is a little red star thingy, doesn't appear to do anything, nor does clinking on the disable rich-text

There is no collapsible menu bar
below the word Comment. As Uncle said there is a red asterisk to the RHS of the word Comment and then the comment box border is below. The asterisk is an indicator that 'This field is required'. I'll see if I can post a screen shot.

We don't see enable rich text. See the screen print I put up in a new thread. Before you ask clicking, double clicking or right side clicking on the 'Disable rich-text' does nothing, as if it was frozen.

Im old fashoined and after reading this and Alan's Screenshot Im confused. I predominantly use IE and have never had issues with the Icons. But from reading the post it appears that IE is the problem.
Might have to get used to Chrome, Firefox etc

Spent a couple of hours
Spent a couple of hours yesterday stuffing around trying various ways to fill in pdf forms via Firefox
.. downloaded Chrome and it worked straight away 
, apparently it’s a bit faster as well .. I’m a Chrome man now
