Down rigger

Gents I recently bought a new boat bloody awesome 5.2 twinfisher included was what's called a down rrigger has anyone had any experience with these or are they a east coat thing as that where the boat came frame

yep
they can come in really handy for a few different styles of fishing. Depends what you are into as to wether it would help your fishing

Good for shallow water sambo fishing
Also awesome for trolling. Like Barney mentioned, just depends on what sort of fishing you normally do.
