Dreamteam
Who does it? I've been doing it since 2008 and have a cash league with some guys who have all been in the same league since I started and we've stuck with the original Dreamteam rather than defect to the AFL Fantasy.
Just broke my run of 4 loses on the trott with a score of 2306 and still only got the 4th highest score such is the cut throut nature of the league I am in. Our league's average score is 2020 and we are ranked 333 in Australia!
I have finished minor premier the previous 2 years but late season injuries and resting of players has always ultimately killed me in the prelim. I am taking a slightly different approach this year and really milking the rookie cows giving away any chance at top spot and making sure I have trades and a lot of cash left over at the business end of the season.

then too many trades, too many articles, too easy - everyone's team looks similar in my opinion. Never studck with the original Dreamteam. Tried Elite, but the website was so bad it just kept crashing.
The other major problem is the grand final is on the least important round of the season, lots of resting and late withdrawals. Even with spare trades best team didn't win most years.

You may have missed the golden years where the Bowden brothers used to just kick it to each other in the back 50 the whole last quarter to boost their scores. Hillarious stuff, had nothing to do with the game, just racking mark kick mark kick...
Pretty sure Dane Swan had himself as captain the way he played for a bit.
My mates and I got individually in the top 1000 for the season a few times, and won a round or two of supercoach for the state.

I play SuperCoach, lots of ups and downs this year, running out of trades, hopefully I can keep what I've got over the byes.

Usually concentrate on fantasy. However this year gave Real DT another go. Currently ranked 345 with Hopper my only rookie on field.
14 trades left though.

That is spectacular! Just checked out your team and that is near unbeatable... well apart from the other 344 teams above you! My best rank this season was 166 but had some terrible scores this year due to injury and players like Parker, Goldy etc hacking it up in the same week.
Looking to upgrade the rest of my rookies in the next 3-5 weeks but I've also burned a few trades and messed up with speculative picks bringing in players like Biggs and Fantasia when JJ went down as well as rage trading Bartel and Barlow.
