Early 40th Pressie (Not Fishing Related)
Submitted by Jackfrost80 on Sun, 2020-03-29 18:53
Have had to shitcan my 40th birthday in 4 weeks time and with lockdown seemingly imminent I rushed out yesterday and grabbed my pressie.
Plan is for the kids to surprise me to give them a bit of excitment and Ima have all the time in the world to get accustomed to her.

Yeah had my eye on a lovely ESP LTD but the Mrs rightly pointed out two things... It's not the time to be dropping $1100 on a guitar and I'm not good enough to warrant a high end guitar haha

Perfect timing!
Perfect timing!
At least you'll have plenty of time at home to jam. My 10yo has already claimed my old Ibanez GRX as his own so it's going to be daily jams at my house.

Definitely a good choice
Definitely a good choice mate, Ive got a few guitars, including an old Ibanez (2007 model, RG320 something), so good to play, especially '80's metal. Have fun!

I had an Ibanez Sunburst Les Paul copy when I was a teenager. Solid mahogany and heavy AF to strap on. Sold it to cashies for $280 to go to schoolies and they're currently going for $1500
I decided to go for the RG421 for the sound quality and the jumbo frets. Haven't cracked the case yet.
