elec/hydraulic trailer brake repair

I've got an issue with my electric/hydraulic trailer brakes that I cant seem to find on my own. namely, theyre generally not working... on one side at least.
does anyone have any contacts or reccomendations south of the river for service?

Caliper piston jammed
Hi Scotto. If some of the brakes are working, I would guess the electric pump is working and some of the pistons are jammed in the caliper. If this is the case, you would either need to buy new calipers, or use high pressure to free the stuck pistons. I made up a tool some years back using a converted grease gun to free stuck pistons and it worked every time. I have never had this problem since converting to all stainless 2.5 years ago. Could also be the slides are jammed.
Brakes are a PITA.
Take the brake caliper off on the ones that don't work and check the slides are not jammed and the piston moves when you apply the brakes.

ive literally just replaced brake pads, new rotors, etc on all 4 wheels, when doing the bearings 2 weeks ago. i had a quick look at the pistons, and they moved with a bit of prying. I think it could be the actuator or solenoid, but thats where my 12v knowledge ends im afraid!

A few things I would do
Hi Scotto
First thing - do you hear the actuator running when you apply brakes, or pull out the breakaway switch. If you do, then
I would jack up one side and with a mate, spin the wheels one at a time and check if they lock when applying brakes, or pulling the breakaway.
If none lock, it might be the actuator, but if any lock, then the actuator is probably OK
If some lock and others dont, then you need to remove and check the caliper. As bucko says, could be the slides or a stuck piston. Probably going to need to strip any calipers that aren't working. Might possibly be worth bleeding any calipers that dont work before stripping

Actuator fluid level
Probably a sipply question, but have you checked the fluid level in the actuator ?
