I know there are a few different ones out there. We are toying with the idea of putting one on the dominator . Which ones would be best suited I have heard your better going with the manually deployed ones .

Mounting plate
Make sure you do your homework on the mounting plate Russ and where you can bolt it on and not have any obstructions when deploying/ retracting. Ie bow rails etc.

Going through the same
Going through the same atm, apparently the auto deploy models have been refined and solved there issues but being a mechanic I'm still a bit dubious on that front. The best price's I've found so far are from Victoria, that's for the 36v,112 lb,72" leg with a single 100ah lithium batt and charger but there out of stock until at least mid year.Oh that's for mk

I have a Cayman 24v 72 "
I have a Cayman 24v 72 " inch set up on my 7m ali. works sweet. I also had a lot of advice from people who had auto deploy to 100% go manual. - although i do have a centre cab so easy enough for me. Make sure u have an extremely solid base as they are stronger than u think. Also get it as far forward as u possibly can..they work much better, even if its 300mm forward than somewhere else so to speak. Just a note..if you dont need to worry too much about weight, u can use the Optima batteries instead of Lithium...i actually wanted some extra kilos as far forward as i could as its a Centre cab so was happy to go with them- at half the price of lithiums. But just my opinion on my boat, each boat is different :) i too did 6months of reserach chatting to blokes who actually had them on similar size boats a sits a lot of $$$- good luck

auto deploy negative
I've got a little Minn Kota on my tinnie and the remote died so I've been using the app on my phone to control it. I went to the local dealer and a new remote is around the $500 mark and currently no stock in australia. During a bit of a chat the dealer further advised me that the app doesn't work with the auto deploy models. So if/when your remote dies you can't use your motor. Something to be aware of..
Anyway, for my reef boat I have a 36v Motorguide and it's pretty good. Occasionally it will lose it's mark and just drift (maybe once per trip) but it's not a big deal.
