Electric Reels

Its the time of year with the snapper ban in place and the demersal ban to closely follow that I think about going deep. The difference being this year I will go the distance and invest in the gear to get started. I'm looking at two reels and I would greatly appreciate opinion from others. Shimano Plays 9000, Daiwa Tanacom Bull 1000 I'm a bit of a Shimano tragic so I'm leaning in that direction.

Hey Peko,

I am sure you realise, the ban includes deep drop. Just checking.

I have a plays 9000 and it works a treat. Pulled up a monster bass with it OK.

If you have the cash, get the Beastmaster or the Megatwin.

Thanks for the comment about the ban. I should know but didn't know it included the deep drop. Monster fish by the way and yes it seems Megatwin is the way to go.

Electric reel

We hear most of the storys (good and bad) on all brands/models and yes the Daiwa 1000 Megatwin (2 speed) electric reel is the best and our preferred.

As black gen said, we suggest the upgrade to carbontex (we can do) and that makes all the difference.

Predro yes mate its on, see you then.
