Hi all,
Just had my first squid in Busso jetty - my 2 -4 kg rod was meh had a big one hooked up then, had an overkill lift on terez rod and sustain 5000
looking at specialist squid rods and reel to be prepare for next session.
Is majorcraft or samurai any good taking into account the deeper end of the jetty?

Hey mate, one of the most
Hey mate, one of the most important things to think about when buying a squiding rod is to think about what jig sizes you're going to be using the most of. Matching your rod to your jigs or vice versa will help maxamise your cast distance and help you work the jig in a way that will increase your catch rate. A couple of recomendations I'd suggest are the
-Ever green Squidlaw Poseidon 8'1", 2.5- 4 EGI (amazingly well balanced rod, top end option)
-and the banax Valkyrie also a very nice stick at 7'6", 2-3 EGI.
Feel free to send us a PM if you have any further questions,
Cheers.
