Is it cynical of me to link this new announcement to the WA State election on 8 March 2025?
As I recall the development was abandoned in 2011 and again in 2017 / 2018.

Agree James, a new basketball

Agree James, a new basketball stadium promised for Cockburn also after previous promises abandoned. Pretty common before an election.

Think there was quite a push back from locals on the marina, not sure if that was based on location or just the size and impact it will have on the current eco.

 It's so ridiculously obvious

It's so ridiculously obvious that Labor are trying to buy votes. At least give the public some credit and try to do some of it earlier. People have longer memories than pollies think.

On another note, one thing that really gets under my skin are all the ads being run by the Australian Government saying how good they are and all they have done. That is clearly for Labor's benefit but unlike ads once an election is called, which have to come from the party coffers, aren't we paying for these?
