Elite 5 Power Chord

Hi guys
Being exposed to the elements and use has put an end to the plug from the power/transducer cord on my lowarance Elite 5 sounder/gps unit. I was curious to know if anyone else has had a similar issue, and knows where I can purchase a plug from. The transducer and its associate cord are in great condition. I have spoken to two local dealers to mandurah and they each tried to sell me the $150 cord with the transducer attached. What makes me think that there should be plugs availiable, is that they're online, but for the older models.
Any help on purchasing, or ideas to fix it would be greatly appreciated
Really keen to get it working now, ready for dhueys on the weekend
Cheers

the tinny I bought earlier this year had
the exact problem, spoke to lowrance and said if I couldn't get the corrosion out then to buy a whole another transducer. Doesn't make sense does it. Look on Gumtree I found one for $ 50 bucks in tassie

Lowrance sell "tails"
At least for the larger xducers, Lowrance sell what they call pigtails, ie, the plug with a short piece of cable attached which you join to your original plug. The actual plugs themselves are sealed, which is why you have to do it this way. If you have a seven pin, such as the ones on the basic 83/200 skimmer transducers they supply with an elite 7, I know you can buy them from Lowrance, for $25, as I did it myself only a couple of months back, re-purposing a S/H 50/200 from an older HDS I bought on here. If the boat dealers won't give you any joy, because they CBF'ed go to a dedicated marine electronics dealer.
