Esperance Deep sea Angling Classic

Well the annual Esperance Deep Sea Angling Classic has been run and won again with 120 boats and nearly 400 anglers in the comp. They headed out in average conditions which turned pretty nasty with a 20-25 knot easterly that came in early.
Well done to Simon Coxall who picked up his 3rd win in 5 years with heaviest overall fish - a 27kg sambo that netted him $16000. And to top things off he also won the minor Calcutta for heaviest queen and got another $9000 to boot!!!! Big thumbs up as he kept 2 and handed 7 back in for another species to be spun up and another lucky angler won the 7 for heaviest snook.

Yeah its gets bigger every year, got to be the biggest comp in the state by now with the biggest prizemoney? Don't forget every species had $500 prizemoney for heaviest and $200 for second. Sharks, Samson, queens, nannagai, sweep, pinkies, skippy, BA, snook right down to herring and whiting.
120 boats was capped too.
