Evinrude Elan

I have put my Evinrude Elan 35hp outboard into Bosun Marine in Dunsborough for a service. They tell me the power pack has gone and it's $600 for a new one. A bit dear for an older motor - any suggestions on a fix or where to source a second hand unit?

Thanks all - having trouble locating my model online - one letter astray from the listed 3 cylinder evinrudes. I will contact them direct for clarification and make the decision based on a new power pack price AND stator as apparently they both need to be changed. I smell justification for a 4 stroke upgrade.

Google evinrude parts they are heaps cheaper from the states, If you need a new power pack get a optical sensor too. you get ripped for second hand parts in this country
