Exmouth boat hire

Hey all!

Just booked seven days in exxy today! Me and the missus are takin a month off to do some travel up north then hopefully off to borneo for some diving! woot! newho just wondering if anyone has had any expiriences good and bad with boat hire in exmouth? i've only heard bad things about blue water boat hire but that was going back a couple of years, seeing were driving up the great northern highway thru karijini, tom price and to exmouth towing our own boat is a very expensive option for wat could end up being only a day or two of fishing.

I'm leaning towards the 5.5 at exmouth boat and kayak hire, dream catcher is lookin a bit to exxy and is bigger than wat we're needing

Has anyone had any expiriences with these companies? any help would be greatly appreciated

Regards

Dave J

Reefy check out AquaSports Boat Hire

Mon, 2009-03-30 21:27

R/M AquaSports boat "Dream Catcher" is one sick rig mate and worth the extra coin just in case you decide on that glass off of a day to go that little bit further ( in comfort, style and security ) .  You could PM him on WAD under the alias of Sniper and tell him your heading up and he might be able to look after you  Kiss

Good luck with your trip hope you and the Mrs have a ball, gotta love exxy

Don't hire from exmouth boat and kayak

Tue, 2009-03-31 18:25

Had a very bad run with that boat mate its a piece of s$&t, very bad. Go the extra cion for dream catcher, just what ever you do dont hire that boat!!!! its bloody dangerouse and the people running the show couldnt care less about it or they would take better care of it. The only reason we got back in on three seperate occasions is beacause we were all mechanics and after the first breakdown we took a tool kit out with us!

awesome

Awesome thanks for the heads up :) yea thinkin bout it today might part with some more cash and go the dream catcher(pending availability), mainly wanted to head out to the murions and troll the ground to the west, never been off the west cape by myself before and we know the murions ground, realised last night the 5.5 isn't allowed more than 3 miles or u void the insurance.

Figure the cost is still less than us both booking onto a charter and we get to do it our way and get to take the tanks along with us

Really appreciate the feedback guys

Regards Dave

never hired

Never hired from Ex boat and Kayak, but have with bluewater and been stuck out there, pigs of boats and wouldn't ever hire a boat from there again.

I'd pay the extra money and go the Aquasports.

5.5

Hi Rob, I remember you well. When you returned the boat and after your stream of complaints, I had my partner inspect the boat and check for the faults you complained thereof. Motor was checked by our local mechanic and it was fine. He can vouch for it too. Turned out that the trailer lights pin plug had been torn off after you neglecteded to disconnect it from the car after you had driven off. Furthermore the water tight safety container, containing the flares were soaked, so they were buggered had to be replaced. It should've come out of your bond, our only mistake was not charging you. Bring your own boat next mate, hope you look after it better than you did ours.
