Exmouth trip

Finally have got time to post a report and post a few photos from our trip up to Exmouth for the comp.
Weather wasn’t that kind to us this time but still ended up getting out most days and getting amongst it, got a few good fish reds eluded us again this year weather didn’t help.
Had the dropsy’s with the marlin had to pull the lures in a few times just to check the hooks were still in!!! managed a little saily. Good to see a few familiar faces up there, again cheers to Ads again for the Comp was enjoyed by all bring on next year

love the saily...sounds like you still had a good time

chinaman and a robinsons sea bream, both good eating but the chinaman is a known ciguatera poisoning carrier especially in queenslnd. cheers

Its top table fare, especially when you have a banana-bender over for a BBQ and tell him he is eating it. Nearly chocked in the fish. LOL. Once he calmed down rated it very highly.
Not as good as Robbo's though.

yeah the chinaman was good eating as was the robo managed to get a few of them.
The shark was with us for a while we were busy dealing to a macky then went to move off and he was right
in front of us so just cut the engine and watched him for a while

Cigatuera-not known to be even found in WA BUT-I recall reading a story a fair few years ago on the subject written by one of the prominent local writers such as Mike Rooenfeldt or similar. It related how on a fishing trip to the Rowley Shoals he was certain one or 2 people got some ciguetera poisoning from a fish.
Quite distinctive I believe because among other things it reverses the senses, and cool feels scorching and vice versa.
Thats the only possible WA case I have heard of.
